Practical Nutrition

There is so much nutrition data out there. We are bombarded with good, bad, and ugly every single day. There are reports that certain foods are good for us, then the next day that same food will cause cancer. There are “fad” diets for weight loss and “protocols” and “treatments” for certain ailments. But at the end of the day what is right? What do we believe, who do we believe and where do we turn to for the information that will be most helpful? More importantly, what are we supposed to eat?

This year, at No Shoes Nutrition, I will be concentrating on practical nutrition and practical solutions for every day. This means that together we will sift through data to bring practical nutrition solutions that will fit your specific life and your specific needs. What kinds of nutrition questions do you have? What are everyday nutrition dilemmas you and your family? Do you need healthy meal ideas? Do you need tips and tricks to get enough greens? Maybe you want to better understand the why behind some of the suggestions you have been told your whole life. Why do I need 8-10 glasses of water a day? Why does my doctor test my cholesterol numbers every year and what does it mean?

Every day I get questions about carbs and fat, questions about how much protein individuals need and if these macro-nutrients are important to track. Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated; it doesn’t have to be a stress and I want to ensure you that reaching your health and wellness goals with some simple and practical nutrition changes is entirely possible.
